New educational program goes national

A new technology training resource is now available in libraries across Australia.
Telstra’s Everyone Connected DVDs are available free of charge and provide step-by-step instructions on how users can improve their digital literacy. According to Telstra Chief Sustainability Officer Tim O’Leary, as more consumer and government information moves online, it’s important for everyone to feel comfortable on the web.
“Having basic digital literacy allows people to keep connected and access the services they require, be it accessing health information, paying bills or keeping in touch with friends and family,” said Mr O’Leary.
The DVDs include information from the basics of using computers, tablets and smartphones right through to using social media.
