Police search for missing Gold Coast woman
Queensland police have started the search of a Mount Nathan property, looking for the body of a Gold Coast woman who has been missing for more than 12 months. The young family who lives at the address was told to move out as an excavator moved in to dig up the backyard. Novy Chardon has been missing since February last year. ABC News has the full story.
Hazelwood residents displaying symptoms similar to smokers
The Hazelwood coal mine fire has caused residents to display symptoms similar to cigarette smokers. The fire has been burning since early February, leaving the nearby town of Morwell blanketed in ash and smoke. Some locals are coughing up a black substance while others have reported a rise in blood pressure. Read more.

Australians cross Bass Strait on paddleboards
Two Australians have crossed the Bass Strait on paddleboards in what they believe is a world first. Zeb Walsh and Brad Gaul left Wilsons Promontory in Victoria with American paddleboarder Jack Bark on February 25. The trio arrived in Cape Portland, Tasmania on Tuesday. Read more.
