Bordertown celebrates 200 meetings

The Bordertown Women’s Probus Club celebrated its 200th meeting recently and 17 years as a club.
Inaugural member Pat Williams read a report on the formative years of the club, which was formed with the support of the Rotary Club of Bordertown.
There have been 15 presidents of the club as two ladies served two terms each.
Three past presidents were present and they each gave a brief talk on their years served.
Members enjoyed a delightful lunch at the Bordertown Hotel with the Men’s Probus Club.
Rotary District Governor Ken McInerney was present as a special guest.
President Bev Scown talked about the success of the previous year, detailing the many interesting meetings, speakers and opportunities for the women to get together.
