PM announces possible repeal of part of Qantas Sale Act
The Federal Government will look at the possibility of repealing part of the Qantas Sale Act which restricts foreign ownership. The legislation currently restricts foreign investment to 49 per cent. Read more.

Indonesia’s justice minister is considering revoking Schapelle Corby’s parole following a Channel 7 interview with the convicted drug smuggler’s sister. Amir Syamsuddin is waiting on a full report from the Bali Corrections Board and is expected to make a decision within days. Sky News has more.

Pistorius pleads not guilty
South Africa’s blade runner, Oscar Pistorius, has officially pleaded not guilty to the murder of his model girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp. The Olympian’s trial opened yesterday with a neighbour’s account of what she heard the night of the shooting. Pistorius also pleaded not guilty to three unrelated gun charges. Read more.

The Academy Awards has drawn its largest ever television audience in the US, drawing 43 million viewers. Cate Blanchett flew the flag for the Aussies, being the first Australian to win two Academy Awards. Australians also took out the costume design and production design awards.
