celebrating 25th birthday with a silver theme
08 Feb 2016
The members of the Westbourne Park Ladies’ Probus Club recently celebrated their 25th birthday with a silver theme.
There were prizes for the best dressed, best hat and earrings. The Fleurieu Mens’ Harmony Choir, a happy group of 12 singers of mature years with a selection of songs to suit all tastes, entertained them. An elegant luncheon was catered for in our usual meeting venue to ensure that as many members as possible would be able to attend.
Photo boards provided great memories of past outings and special events. The general opinion was that we had not changed too much over the years. Our four remaining Foundation members officiated at the cake cutting ceremony and in making a wish that we may continue to be an active and fun club for many more years.
A surprise for all Past Presidents was to present them with a feather duster and an invitation to be a part of the Feather Duster Club which will provide an opportunity to get together for a cuppa and to share memories of their years as a “fine feathered” President before being retired to being just a “feather duster”.
