Visit to Moree
24 Aug 2018
On 29 April 2018 18 members from New Lambton Honeysuckle Probus Club, together with 4 members from Wallsend Ladies Probus Club, 2 from Cameron Park Probus Club and 16 members of the Beresfield Senior Citizens left Newcastle on an organised excursion.
The destination was Moree NSW. The group stayed 6 nights at a local motel and had daily trips to Narrabri, Inverell and Goondiwindi, exploring each area in turn. There was also plenty of free time to check out Moree and even test the spa. Unbeknown to the organisers before setting off, the day that they visited Goondiwindi coincided with the annual Show! There was, therefore, a full public holiday for the town so the chance to “burn some plastic” at the local shops was missed. However it did not detract from the day and gave a little more time for exploring.
The first photo, in front of the coach, is of the New Lambton Honeysuckle contingent. The second photo is one taken at a gallery in Moree and includes all those who travelled.
