On the 24 September, Patrick Pickett CEO of the Queensland Pops Orchestra was guest speaker at the Combined Probus Club of Maleny.
Eighty-five Probus members and guests attended the meeting and all thoroughly enjoyed Patrick’s excellent discussion on 'The Impact of Music on Our Lives'.
In Patrick’s talk he discussed how research suggests that music not only helps us cope with pain and how music is capable of a number of health benefits. These benefits include lowering stress levels, raising states of consciousness, changing moods, accessing different states of mind and developing the brain.
