Palm Beach Probus Club visits Australian Botanic Garden

On 24 September the club ventured off on a bus trip to The Australian Botanic Garden at Mount Annan, followed by a trip to Warragamba Dam.
The weather was perfect – it was a sunny warm day. On arrival at Mount Annan the bus company, On Course Tours, served morning tea, then the group was given a guided bus tour of the gardens, before stopping at the Lakeside Garden to view the vibrantly coloured paper daisies (Bracteantha bracteata), other native flowers, magnificent tree ferns and the lake.
One member even spied a Wollemi Pine. They then proceeded to Warragamba Dam where the bus company served a tasty lunch of quiches and salad, wine, juice and Danish pastries. A wonderful day was had by all.
