Burleigh Heads Ladies Probus Club trip to Brisbane
21 Jun 2017
Burleigh Heads Ladies Probus Club recently had a day trip to Brisbane to tour the ‘Port of Brisbane’ then visited the Ambulance Service Historical Museum.
Pictured: President Pat and member Maureen in front of a 1926 Arrol Johnson Ambulance. This was one of the early motor ambulances in use and began its work in 1927 in Nambour. After a hard and varied life it has been beautifully restored by 25 volunteers and takes pride of place in the Museum with many other interesting artifacts.
