Motueka Ladies Probus Club Meeting

Some 38 members of the 50 plus strong Motueka Ladies Probus Club were welcomed to their Friday morning August meeting by President Miriam Gratton, in the Motueka Brass Band rooms where they gathered to hear Horticulturist Peter Smale discuss the wide range of poisonous plants we all have in our flower and vegetable gardens, including trees and shrubs.
His talk was illustrated with photographs of familiar plants that can affect humanity in a variety of ways, from skin rashes to vomit causing effects.
President Miriam in the business part of the meeting mentioned the need to be continuously on the lookout for new members to maintain a healthy club.
