30 years
28 Mar 2013
The Noosa Combined Club recently celebrated thirty years of friendship, fellowship and fun with a special general meeting and the cutting of a delicious anniversary cake.
The originalclub was formed in 1982 as a men’s only club, however in 2012, Noosa, in the top-twenty oldest clubs of Queensland, become combined.
The anniversary cake was cut by two life members and past presidents, Keith Venn and John Pawsey, and Mr. Neil Wagstaff presented a 30-year certificate to the club
John spoke about some of the highlights of the former men's club, and other past members also spoke of memories and the camaraderie they had enjoyed over the years.
Seventy-five members attended a celebratory luncheon after the meeting including Tess Alexandroff, President Rotary Noosa, and Neil Wagstaff gave a toast to the club’s ongoing success.
During the past year, 29 inductions were held and on this special anniversary we welcomed our 100th member.
