Hot Stuff Baking Group gather for dessert

The Hot Stuff Baking Group from Wellington Combined Probus Club recently enjoyed another gathering.
At this event, they made an apricot and chocolate slice. The foundation was made up of flour, baking powder, and rolled oats. Sugar was substituted with honey and apricot jam, and the dried apricots and dark chocolate were chopped prior to mixing.
The finished product was tasty, but thin, and next time the group agreed they would use a smaller tin so the slice itself would be deeper.
Unfortunately, Alan was unwell and so the group was reduced to a group of five bakers rather than their usual six. However, the group did drop off a sample of the baked goods to his household, so he didn’t feel left out.
