We’re going on a summer holiday

Last November, the Combined Probus Club of Maroondah visited Wangaratta for the 14th Cabins and Caravans event. It is an area central to so many interesting places.
In the town itself, there is the Holy Trinity Cathedral, the Art Gallery, and several restaurants and coffee shops worth visiting. There is a good array of wineries, breweries, providores, gastro pubs and Italian styled restaurants. Nearby towns including Beechworth, Rutherglen, Whitfield, Milawa, Bright, Glenrowan and El Dorado are all within easy driving distance. The King Valley and Warby Ovens National Park provide good walking tracks, waterfalls and beautiful scenery.
Club members went for a walk each morning, followed by a coffee break – on one occasion, a magnificent morning tea was provided by the Wangaratta CWA – what an absolute delight! All members thoroughly enjoyed that.
One evening, we were joined by Appin Park Probus Club for happy hour – fellowship, friendship and fun was experienced by all, as evident from the noise levels! As usual, everyone had a great time.
