Albert River Winery Outing

"On a beautiful winter's day in August, twenty six Centenary Suburbs Probus Club members  enjoyed a self-drive journey to the Albert River Winery at the base of Tamborine Mountain.

After morning tea in Jubilee Park at Beaudesert we arrived at the winery where we were introduced to our guide, Yvonne. After touring the historic buildings on the site Auchenflower House, Tamborine House and Chapel transferred from Kingaroy, we were entertained to a display of sheep dog mustering, followed by displays by Yvonne of whip-cracking and throwing boomerangs. Several of our members tried their hand at whip-cracking and throwing boomerangs – with varying degrees of success. Fortunately, no one suffered serious injury!!

Yvonne was a great raconteur who kept us all highly amused by her tales tall and true.
Following our tour, we enj oyed a delicious lunch before starting our respective journeys home after a great and entertaining day out."
