Probus Club of Tea Tree Gully Outing
06 Feb 2019
On January 3rd with the Adelaide temperature forecast at 41 degrees, twenty four members and friends of The Probus Club of Tea Tree Gully wound their way through the Adelaide Hills to the Kenton Valley Cherry Farm’s Cafe and Gift Shop outside the township of Gumeracha for an enjoyable morning tea of scones, cherry jam and cream, or one of the other delectables with their tea, coffee, milkshakes or cool drinks.
On arrival, the temperature was 25c, and we were seated on the outside balcony, shaded by a canopy and a huge tree, while a lovely breeze made the area cool.
This was the Club’s first outing of the year and a good chance to catch up with old and new friends, and to buy a few kilos of cherries or gifts to take home.
After much chatting and laughter, a most pleasant outing came to a close when the last car left around 11.40am. Many thanks must go to Joan the Activities Officer for her organising a good start to 2019.
