Club day out to Yass

On a cold day members of the Probus Club of Gungahlin enjoyed a bus trip to Yass visiting a number of places of interest including “Cooma Cottage” bought by the Australian explorer Hamilton Hume and his wife in 1839 after he ended his travels and became a grazier.
Hamilton Hume is remembered as a native born explorer who opened up much of the valuable country in the south east of the Australian continent and the wonderful guides gave members an interesting and informative tour of the house and stables.
