Catch up with the ladies from Bateau Bay
26 Aug 2013
Catch up with the Bateau Bay Ladies Probus Club as members take a trip to Batemans Bay and celebrate the club’s 30th birthday.
Reaching 30
Late last year, the Bateau Bay Ladies Probus Club celebrated 30 glorious years. As the first ladies' club in Australia, the club had loads to celebrate.
Lunch was held at Shelley Beach Golf Club. There were 78 people in attendance including Rudi Rynsvergen, president of the Rotary club, and his beautiful wife Carol.
Don Suthers, delegate for the Central Coast and South Pacific LTD and his lovely wife Lyn were also on hand to celebrate.
Also in attendance was the foundation member and first president of the club, Mrs Irene Jackson, who cut the delicious birthday cake with then president Judy Writer.
Visiting Batemans Bay
Members from the Bateau Bay Ladies Probus Club enjoyed a delightful trip to Batemans Bay, visiting Mogo Zoo and eating a delectable lunch on a river cruise.
A visit to the Floriade in Canberra was also thoroughly enjoyed by everyone.
