Probus members from Cardwell and Mission Beach recently hit the road with Ingham Probus Club members to visit Townsville.
Six members from Cardwell, two from Mission Beach and 14 from host club Ingham enjoyed a most enjoyable bus trip to Townsville
On arrival, members boarded Mike (Pop) and Heather Sullivan's barge and experienced a two-and-a-half-hour trip learning about the natural elements of the Ross River Dam and its river systems on the MV Kathleen Mary. It was an informative insight into the history of the area.
Morning tea was supplied by Mike and Heather, and Mike also entertained members with popular songs. There was then time for a pleasant spot of shopping before heading back home. A big thank you to Cluny (Bird) from Cardwell for driving the bus.
