District 9780's Celebration Conference

Waurn Ponds Deakin Combined Probus Club recently hosted District 9780's 'Celebration Conference" for Probus' 40th Anniversary in Australia.
This was held in Geelong where over 300 members and visitors from 70 clubs attended the celebrations which were held in the 'Captains Room' at Geelong Football Club, Simonds Stadium, Geelong.
On Sunday, guided tours of the Geelong area were offered. In the evening a Celebration Dinner with lots of entertainment, wonderful guest speakers and the opportunity to meet Probus members from other clubs in District 9780.
Monday was a wonderful day of celebration with Margaret Robinson - District 9780 calling the Roll Call and helping Maureen Zampatti OAM cut the Probus 40th Anniversary cake.
Members and visitors were then entertained by some extremely talented speakers and artists which made for a very enjoyable and memorable day by all.
All in attendance agreed the two day Celebration Conference was a huge success and a wonderful way to have Fun with Fellow Members and make some new lasting Friendships.
