Hey Dad! star in court
A court has heard of games Hey Dad! star Robert Hughes played with children on the set. The parents of a child who was allegedly sexually abused by Hughes when she was seven gave evidence in court yesterday. Hughes has pleaded not guilty to 11 sexual and indecent assault charges. Read more.

Thousands of Qantas workers face the possibility of redundancy, redeployment or lower pay as the national carrier announces the biggest shake-up in its 94-year history. The airline is expected to announce a $350 million loss when it publicises its financial results today. News.com.au has more.
Chinese man sues government over smog
A Chinese man has become the first person to sue the government for failing to curb air pollution. With the country’s north suffering a pollution crisis, authorities have introduced anti-pollution policies, however Li Guixin has submitted a complaint saying it’s not enough. Read more on Seven News.
British soldier’s killers jailed for life
The two British men convicted of hacking soldier Lee Rigby to death last year have been sentenced to life in prison. Michael Adebolajo, 29, and Michael Adebowale, 22, were convicted in December last year. Adebolajo was given a whole-life term while Adebowale will serve a minimum period of 45 years. Read more.
