Celebrating 20 and 80 years

Latrobe Ladies celebrate 20 years this year, with many members celebrating their 80th birthday this year too.
Earlier this year, four members who were celebrating their 8oths, shared cutting the cake at the monthly meeting amongst the club celebrating “all things Australian”.
In Latrobe Ladies, being 80 is a milestone. At the start of the next Probus year, those members become honorary members, which affords them all the privileges of membership, while only paying for their insurance.
The consequences of that means that new members can be brought into the club within the ceiling of membership, which helps to keep the club vibrant and covers any succession difficulties.
