Show and Tell at North Lakes Probus Club
15 Jan 2016
A recent initiative at North Lakes Probus is the introduction of a show and tell segment at the monthly meetings and this has proved to be popular with members.
A short story included in the monthly newsletter “North Lakes Natters” followed by displays at the meetings is the format with two members featured each meeting.
Members featured to date are:
Margaret Walker: Showed her quilts featuring family history. The most interesting ones are those made as wall hangings showing family tree pictures.
This one is husband Graeme’s family, and is No.4 in that series.
Keith Shailer: Keith sings in the Brisbane Male Voice Choir, which featured in the Brisbane Festival of Male Voice Praise 60th Anniversary
Pete Wilson: Pete showed his interest in woodwork over the years, which included furniture, a Viking ship model and toys for the grand children.
Sally Godding: Sally’s interests are wide covering a range of crafting as well as a great love of researching family history which has resulted in the production of two books, one covering her mothers side and the other her fathers side of her family.
This has been a great opportunity to get to know our members skills and interests and many more members are lining up to tell their stories.
