Celebrate good times
23 Feb 2015
Last year Sussex Inlet Combined Probus Club celebrated its 25th anniversary.
This was all due to the efforts of Norm Clark and a small group of interested men who got together to form the club.
To celebrate the occasion, members travelled by bus to Gabby's Restaurant in Berry for a delightful 3 course lunch in a lovely setting.
Special guests Tony Howkins, District Governor, and Shelley Hancock congratulated the club for reaching this milestone. Tony presented President Vince Lindsay with 25 year Certificate. Representatives of other Probus Clubs in the area joined us for the celebration.
Our two special guests presented several long-time members with pins to recognise their contribution to the club.
Twenty one ladies received pins, 10 men received 10-year pins, one man a 15-year pin, six men were recognised with a 20 year pin and seven men were rewarded with pins for reaching the 25-year milestone.
Special recognition was made of six members who were awarded Life Membership of the club: Robyne Houchin, David Burns, Jock Campbell, Bill Fackender, Basel Jones and Dave Woodbridge.
This was a fitting end to a month of celebrations for Sussex Inlet Combined Probus.
