Woodcroft Probus enjoy Coromandel Valley
26 Jun 2024
On Monday, 22nd of April, the Woodcroft Probus Club enjoyed a walk through the Coromandel Valley and lunch at the Duck Inn.
The autumn weather was good to them and provided a lovely day for 26 walkers partaking in their Sturt River Linear Trail walk at Coromandel Valley. They met outside the butcher shop on Main Road and set off at about 10:30 am.
It was not a long walk, but most enjoyable with tall gum trees around them. It was quite captivating as they watched the river flow and meander, quickly at times, through the natural vegetation and rockeries.
It brought back fond memories for some, looking back on childhood years, playing in such waterways, making dams and catching yabbies.
Along the walkway some touchstone meditation moments have been constructed and, one of their members, Barry, didn’t let the moment for a photo opportunity pass.
After the walk, some enjoyed a refreshment at the bakery and then proceeded to the Duck Inn where they all enjoyed a scrumptious lunch. The club offers many thanks to those who organised this relaxing day.
