Probus Club of Darwin Inc celebrates 40 years

The Darwin Probus Club Inc dinner dance was held in September, at SkyCity Casino, to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Probus clubs in Australia. The group had the pleasure of awarding life membership to Ken Cohalan OAM, who has been a member of the club since 2006, has served as president and been actively involved in many of the club activities in that time. The Patron of our club, His Honour, The Honourable John Hardy OAM, Administrator of the NT, made the presentation to Ken. 

The 90 guests who attended to help celebrate the 40th anniversary of Probus in Australia enjoyed a great night. His Honour and Mrs Hardy attended the evening and joined in the fun. Eean Thorne OAM and Chairman of Probus, Douglas Geekie, cut a 40th anniversary cake. The food was delicious; entertainment was from the Northern Tango dancers and music by Bill Roy.
