A step back in time

There was a grey sky in Melbourne when the East Malvern Probus group left Southern Cross Station for Bendigo and the Lost Trades Fair.
The sky turned to blue as they crossed the Great Dividing Range and it gave everyone on the journey a smile as the day promised to be a good one.
Most of those in the group took advantage of seniors’ free travel concession to purchase our return tickets to and from Bendigo.
They were met by the shuttle bus that took them to the Racecourse where the Fair was being held. A light breeze throughout the day made the outing most pleasurable.
Many trades including bootmakers, farriers, leadlighters, chandlers and weavers demonstrated their skills, making an impressive display. There was food and wine from the district to enjoy while sitting in shade listening to the music at various venues around the racecourse.
