A man in his twenties has died in Sydney’s Villawood Detention Centre. He was being held as an illegal immigrant when he collapsed and died yesterday. Refugee advocates are calling for the Federal Department of Immigration to release more information. Read more.

A shallow earthquake has shaken Melbourne’s east this morning with residents reporting that they heard a large bang.
