Games day
24 Dec 2013
A combined Probus Picnic and Games Day was held at Nurragingy Reserve, Blacktown, organised by Blaxland/Glenbrook Probus Club.
The day was a great success and everyone enjoyed themselves. There was keen participation by all the members and a real Olympics atmosphere was generated. Big thanks goes to Brian and Jan Grenenger from Blaxland/Glenbrook whose great organisational skills made the day such a success.
Peter Carroll, from Rotary, was a guest. Peter enjoyed the day and joined in the activities.
Some of the games were quoits, boules, and captain ball and, after lunch, a game of trivia questions was contested.
Gold medals were the order of the day.
It may not be the Olympics but winning a medal or a small gold cup sure felt good. The clubs represented were Blacktown, Blaxland/Glenbrook, Glenmore Park, Prospect, St Marys, South Creek and South Penrith.
