Philippines visit

Probus South Pacific Chairman, Margaret Robinson visited the Philippines and District 3790 in March 2013.

Margaret visited Angeles City where she inducted two new clubs – the Probus clubs of Virgen de los Remedios, and San Miguel, Magalang, with around 60 people present. Members of the San Jose and Northville were also at the induction. Past president Chito Bautista, past president Gian Castellvi, immediate past president Chuck Gueco and President Caloy Basilio were also present.

President Ronald Aquino who formed the San Miguel Magalang Club could not make it but he was represented by his spouse who is also a Rotarian from the Rotary Club of Magalang.

The incumbent District Governor Tony Bautista came with his first lady, Evelyn.

Tony made an inspirational speech before Probus Chair Margaret Robinson addressed everyone prior to the inductions. She also had a heart to heart talk with the Northville and San Jose clubs.

Chairman Margaret and Past District Governor Geoff McLennan visited Subic and Anvaya Cove in Morong to relax at the beach and savour the cool breeze. They also enjoyed a leisurely lunch.

For the Chairman’s final night, Past District Governor Geoff hosted a sumptuous Chinese dinner at the Hai Shin Lou Seafood King Restaurant along Arnais Road near San Lorenzo in Makati, as a farewell dinner for Margaret.
