The Probus Club of Port Stephens has a new snooker champion for 2015.
The hard fought competition was organized and administered by snooker guru Malcolm Craddock, complete with his Pot Black white gloves.
The winner is Col Thorley and runner up, newcomer Dave Lingard. Most improved is Bob Arthur. The very keen snooker boys play every Tuesday except for two weeks over Christmas and lots of secret men’s business happens there.
The annual Presentation Dinner was celebrated at Baroque with wives and partners in attendance. Guru Malcolm explained the intricacies of the game as well as a ball by ball description of the games played in the finals!
The trophies were then presented to Dave and Arthur with long time member of the group, Don Howard saying a few words and handing Col his champion’s trophy; a popular winner.
