The Induction of Ronald “Robbo” Robinson

The Induction of Ronald “Robbo” Robinson.
If ever there was an eager applicant wishing to join the Probus Club of St Leonards it was Robbo, as he wishes to be called.
Originally, Robbo was to be inducted in April 2019, but suddenly he found he had to have an amputation operation that set him back. As Robbo was worried about a possible long delay before his induction could take place, the Club’s Committee, along with support from its Members and Probus South Pacific P/L, carried out the induction at Whitehaven Retirement Home in Newcomb on the 17th July, 2019.
Attending the induction was the Club’s President, Ida Frank, Robbo’s sponsor, Casa, O’Hare, Secretary, Olga Useli, Welfare Officer, Lauris Clifford, Public Officer, Ken Lees, Club Member, Karen Sigley, Robbo’s son and a guest, Pan Amien from China who kindly took a small video clip of the proceedings.
Following the induction, the home provided a lovely afternoon tea where some of the residents also joined in the festivities.
