Hats off to the ladies

Members of Latrobe Ladies may be the best-hatted ladies at the upcoming racing events following milliner Carolyn Schoo being the guest speaker at our last meeting.
At the meeting, Caroyn showed us her skills at creating pieces from a base, a beautiful headpiece and made it look so simple. We soon became aware that creating hats was about having an experienced eye for design, materials and occasion.
The outfit also needed to be complemented, combined with hours of fine work,which created the finished product.
Two club members, Liz Kong and Liz Sutton, were challenged to work with some simple pieces to create a fascinator headpiece, which they handled admirably.
