River cruise

On a nice sunny day, what could be better than a cruise on the Yarra, followed by lunch?
So 24 members of the East Malvern Combined Probus Club recently set off from Princes Bridge. Sailing down river, the boat passed under historic bridges, passed the new developments of Docklands and passed the working port area.
Returning to Princes Bridge, the boat sailed up river, passed historic mansions and turning around at Herring Island. A commentary on local landmarks and items of interest was provided throughout the trip.
It was then back to Princes Bridge, for an enjoyable lunch at Clocks Restaurant at Flinders Street Station, enhanced by a free drink and a $5 refund as a side benefit of the river cruise. A good time had by all – a great opportunity for fellowship, friendship and fun.
