Port Lincoln Combined Probus Outings
08 Feb 2017
The past 3 months Port Lincoln Combined Probus has had a good attendance to the outings arranged by Ian Harvey.
In September after a delicious morning tea of home made sausage rolls made by the Tobin's with proceeds going to Port Lincoln Gymnastics, we viewed Colin's miniature car collection and Crows memorabilia followed by a BBQ at Wellington Square.
October outing was to the Aquaculture centre at the Port Lincoln High School where Chris McGowan explained his involvement in teaching students with members amazed what is taught compared to our school days, a very interesting morning learning how Barramundi fingerlings are introduced and grown through to maturity with the club sponsoring 5 Barramundi.
November outing saw members travel to Nyroca Scout camp where Malcolm Schluter gave an interesting and entertaining talk of his involvement in Nyroca and the amount of visitors they have pass through each year. An enjoyable morning tea with members then exploring the grounds followed by a BBQ lunch supplied by Malcolm and Janet was appreciated by all attending.
December 2nd Xmas lunch was the finale for the year. Boston Bay winery was the venue with Tony Ford and his staff supplying a delicious lunch whilst John Lecner entertained with his music. A big thank you to Margaret Harvey for a most enjoyable afternoon.
