Girlie day for the ladies

The very elegant function room at the baroque coffee house in Nelson Bay was the perfect venue for a high tea organised for the lady members, members wives and friends of the Probus Club of Port Stephens.

Fifty-two ladies attended and thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and delicious food provided by Tania and her staff.

Among those attending were old and new friends, two lots of sisters and four mothers and daughters, which only added to the Probus family feeling.

This function was organised for the ladies to get to know one another a little better and also to come up with some ideas for some activities they would like to see introduced to the club keeping in mind it is a mixed gender one.

By the overwhelming response to this function, having a ‘ladies only’ day now and again seems to be a popular idea.

The main reason though was to have a really enjoyable girlie afternoon which was definitely the case.
