Congratulations to the Hunters Hill Probus Club, which just threw a splendid party at the Killara Golf Club in Sydney to celebrate its 40th birthday.
Hunters Hill was the very first Probus Club to launch in Australia in 1973. Since then, more than 150,000 retirees have joined the organisation.
“My hope is that our club will continue to provide activities and fellowship to like-minded retired people in our community,” says Ian Adair, President of the Hunters Hill Probus Club. “As they say, ‘everyone retires, but Probians do it better’.”
The celebration was attended by the Deputy.
Mayor of Hunters Hill, Clr. Justine McLaughlin; Probus Chairman, Douglas Geekie; the rst Chairman of Probus in the South Paci c, Bob Burnett; the President of the Ladies Probus Club of Hunters Hill, Suzanne Traill and the President of Gladesville Probus Club, Malcolm MacIntosh.
