North Lakes Walk and Talk goes Rural

The North Lakes Probus Club regular Walk & Talk group travelled to President Reg and Joan Hodgson’s rural residential property at Whiteside overlooking Lake Sampsonvale (North Pine Dam).
While the weather forecast was not promising with very strong cold winds these did not arrive until late in the afternoon and we were fortunate to have a clear sunny day.
Hosts Reg and Joan with the help of a few neighbors put on a great show with camp oven cooked damper and tasteful stew, which hit the spot on the cold day.
On display were demonstrations of Reg’s T Model Ford Pickup, his Clydesdale horse Connie, explanations of shoeing by a retired farrier and camp cooking as well as Joan’s garden.
After lunch we all went our way having had a very enjoyable and informative day.
