Barossa and Districts Combined Probus Club Outing
13 Dec 2016
The Barossa and Districts Combined Probus Clubs recently organised an outing to celebrate the last day of school holidays.
As many of our members (average age of our Club of 100 members is below 70) still have child minding duties out of school hours they (Peter and Jan) organised a day out with a Treasure Hunt and Car Trial around the Barossa taking in Tanunda, Angaston, Nuriootpa, Lyndoch, Sandy Creek, Williamstown. The event ended up at the “Whispering Wall for a shared lunch.
Attended by 37 members and 22 grandchildren this is probably the First Probus Outing where the average age was less than 30 and a great chance to get kids outside and enjoying their local environment. It was a case of every carload wins a prize and the start of a new tradition in our Club.
