Culture and cuisine

Palmerston Probus Club travelled into Darwin recently for a day of culture and fine cuisine. The destination was the Darwin Museum and Art Gallery and the charming Saltwater Café.

First stop was the Art Gallery, and as luck would have it, members were able to view the 2022 Exit Art Exhibition. This exhibition showcased the remarkable work of Year 12 art students from the NT. Works covered contemporary and traditional mediums and to our delight included amazing examples of digital paintings, photography and 3D sculptures.  The talent on display by these students was just superb our hearty congratulations to all involved.

Lunch was at The Saltwater Café @ Bundilla located inside the museum. The table was situated on the verandah giving sea views and even the odd balmy breeze. Delicious food and great company made for a very enjoyable day.
