Probians on safari

Forty-three members of Campbelltown Combined Probus Club made a trip to the Monarto Safari, where they enjoyed a bus tour through the park as well as lunch.
Members can be seen here standing in front of a giant boab tree near the new visitor centre.
Monarto Safari Park is growing into the largest safari experience outside of Africa spanning more than 1,500 hectares. It’s home to many of Africa’s most impressive animals including one of Australia’s lion prides and giraffe herds.
Members were treated to a very good view of a newborn calf, and the black rhino put on a great display, tossing a bright blue and very battered drum on his horn.
The park is home to more than 50 species of exotic and native mammals, birds and reptiles.
