Woden-Weston Creek Probus meets on the first Thursday of each month from February to December. Monthly lunches take place on the second Thursday, with outings on the third Thursday. Meetings are always well attended, with interesting Club and Guest Speakers each month adding to the enjoyment of all.
On 20 August, members visited Government House in Yarralumla, Canberra, home of the Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC. The Club’s President, Judy Mack, was instrumental in organising a tour of the reception rooms of this beautiful house. Their guide, Sarah, provided a running commentary on the origins of the house and its rooms, complete with amusing side stories. A special trip to the garages, formerly the stables, also treated members to a viewing of the Rolls-Royce, which is used for special and official occasions.
