The first Information Days for 2026 were held at Belmont Services Club on 13 April and North Lakes Hotel on 14 April. These club-focused information and networking days were conducted by Monika Prasad, Head of Marketing and Engagement for Probus South Pacific Limited, with assistance from PAQ Management Committee members.
The format for the days was changed from training days held previously to one where attendees were given a picture of a fruit and assigned to tables according to their fruit symbol. This enabled grouping of similar management committee functionaries, so that Presidents were seated with Presidents, Secretaries with Secretaries, and so on. Fruit symbols used were Apple, Banana, Pear, Strawberry, and Grapes, with Presidents being represented by Apples – of course.
Belmont Services Club had 27 clubs represented with 74 attendees, including presenters and helpers, while North Lakes Hotel had 43 attendees representing 16 clubs. There was a wide catchment area, with members travelling from Toowoomba, Kingaroy, Nambour, and two members from the new Boonah Probus Club. Attendees at both days were very positive about the information shared, both from the presentations and the interchange of information within the groups.
