Mersey Valley Ladies Tasmanian Truffles Trip!
At the end of September, members of the Mersey Valley Ladies Probus Club together with members from neighbouring Probus Clubs joined in a fun day including a tour of “Tasmanian Truffles” at Red Hills.
The host for the day was Henry Terry. Henry and his sister Anna starred in “My Kitchen Rules” in 2017, and are now the Managers of the Truffle Farm.
As well as enjoying a great lunch which was a gourmet’s delight, members had a tour of the truffle farm and watched the “Truffle” dog at work. Henry explained the history of the Truffle Farm and many Probus members purchased items which the Truffle Farm is now producing.
On the way home it was Ice Cream at Ashgrove, then a delay when the bus broke down. But all in all it was a fantastic day, with lots of laughter, fun, fellowship and food.
