Gymea Street Fair
08 Dec 2017
Well done to the members of Gymea Men’s, Gymea Combined, Cronulla Men’s, Cronulla Ladies, Caringbah Combined, Woolooware Combined and Gunnamatta Combined Probus Clubs who volunteered their time to man our information stand for the Probus Cluster Blue zone, at the annual and recent Gymea Fair.
It was a very hot and sticky day, but that did not stop thousands of people attending the Fair to enjoy the variety of activities for all ages, entertainment and visiting the hundreds of street stalls that lined the main street of Gymea, which is closed off for the day. It’s very much a family day out with many grandparents enjoying and being involved in the day.
Our Probus member volunteers had a busy day, speaking to well over 100 people, handing out literature, bags and balloons to interested passer-by’s. Questions were answered, advice given and the Probus “LOOK” was enhanced by the enthusiasm and positivity of our members.
Ambassador and Cluster Blue Chairman, Rob Gair, organised the stand and visited throughout the course of the day along with the other Ambassadors, Gary Daniels and Caitlin Larbalestier.
A thank you to Gary Daniels for organising the blue ‘Probus Ask Me’ polo shirts. They looked very professional and showed us as a united team.
The Ambassadors would like to thank all the members who gave up their time to man the stand for this event. Well Done.
We look forward to hearing back from the Clubs who participated and learning about their experiences of the day.
