Creating musical moments with Horsham Combined Probus

The Silver Strings, a ukulele group under the banner of Horsham Combined Probus Club, has a new look.

The members now wear a red t-shirt complete with logo as their uniform when playing for community and event performances.

The group has about 20 members and now includes bass guitar, drums and other percussion instruments. Members practice weekly and love to entertain within the Wimmera area when requested.

The group is fortunate to have skilled former music teacher Bernadette as the musical director and member Edith who ensures they all have the music - and in the right key!

The Silver Strings now have an astonishing repertoire of 250 songs!

Most members had never played a ukulele when they started with the group and are now enjoying pleasant musical moments.
