Murray Magic Border Hopper Tour for Tuggeranong Probus

The Probus Club of Tuggeranong, together with members of several other Probus Clubs within Canberra, set off on the Murray Magic Border Hopper Tour.

The tour was certainly magical, using the town and motel of Barham as their base, each day they explored numerous attractions. They experienced many highlights. One such tour highlight was the visit to the WWII secret flying boat base Museum at Lake Boga and they were amazed at the huge Catalina flying boat, which forms the centre piece of the museum.

Another special attraction they visited was the Spanner Man Sculpture Garden near Boort, where the late John Piccoli designed and created spectacular sculptures welded together from thousands of spanners.

Another day saw them in Bendigo riding a restored tram to the original old North Bendigo Tram terminus. They toured the nearby amazing Great Stupa of Universal Compassion, which was opened by the Dalai Lama.

There were many other adventures for them over five days and the Murray Magic family really looked after them. After each of their exciting days of adventure, the hearty home cooked meals were a delight.
