Probus Day luncheon

On Friday, October 26, members of the Combined Probus Club of Kingston arrived at Seagrass Cafe under rather gloomy skies.

After ascending Mt Everest (the steps – did anyone use the chairlift?) members entered the tastefully decorated restaurant and were greeted by the friendly staff.

The view across the Derwent was breathtaking!

The party consisted of 26 Probians and two special guests, Labor Senator Catryna Bilyk and Mayor of Kingborough Dean Winter, pictured below with Club President Jenny Taylor.

Members settled in and very soon there was much animated conversation emanating from their three tables.

From the menu choices the battered fish with mushy peas and fat chips seemed to be the favourite – the dish du jour. Although, some members confided that the calamari was also very tender.

The meal was completed with coffee / tea and a yummy chocolate morsel.

On departure, the sun finally broke through to complete a very pleasant outing.
