Dynamic Probus Luncheon

On the 26 July 2017 five Probus Clubs combined to have a “Yuletide” Luncheon at the magnificent Lakeside Reception centre. The participating clubs were Keilor, Keilor East, Avondale Heights, Taylors Lakes and Deer Park and they were represented by an attendance of 192 Probians.

It was a massive party providing canapes, a two course meal with all drinks provided. The entertainer and soloist provided excellent music for dancing and the floor was never empty! To help dissipate the entertainment costs an inexpensive raffle was held with an abundance of prizes.

Our guest was the Chairman of Probus South Pacific Ltd, Mr Douglas Geekie who provided a short address in keeping with the occasion. Additionally the retiring RDPC Peter Milburn and the new RDPC, Mark Schirmer, were in attendance to meet the Probians.  As the photos show, all had a marvellous time with the function concluding at 3.30pm.

It was our second such function and all enjoyed the lunch, dancing and meeting new friends with all asking for the function to be repeated next year. This was true Probus Friendship, Fellowship and absolute Fun at its best.
