Exploring the Wonders of Jindabyne

Members of George’s Hall Probus Club went on a wonderful trip away to Jindabyne. This was a “Life of Riley” tour organised by the Lake Jindabyne hotel.
Their journey unfolded amidst the breathtaking scenery of Jindabyne, with comfortable accommodations overlooking the serene lake provided by the attentive staff of the Lake Jindabyne Hotel. From delicious buffet breakfasts and mouthwatering three-course dinners to morning teas and picnic lunches, their culinary needs were well met. Beyond the delectable meals, the group found entertainment in trivia games, shopping sprees, and moments of peaceful relaxation.
Among the highlights of the trip was a visit to the Wild Brumby Distillery, where the schnapps became a firm favourite among the Probus members. They also delved into the fascinating history of the region at the NSW State Correctional Museum in Cooma and marvelled at the classic cars on display at the Cooma Classic Car Club.
Another highlight was meeting Dorothy, a resident emu at Berridale. When she sees the coach, she comes running up from wherever she is because she knows that she’s in for a treat. The members had a chance to feed her with apples.
