A visit to the Ravenscar House Museum

The Rolleston Central Probus Club enjoyed a visit to the Ravenscar House Museum in the central city.

The museum is set up like a home and contains the stunning art collection of Jim and Susan Wakefield.

The duo started collecting in the early 1990’s and originally displayed the collection in their house in Scarborough. Unfortunately, natural disasters destroyed their home and so the rooms were recreated with this museum.

It is truly an eclectic collection of paintings, sculpture, jewellery, and furniture.

Lunch was enjoyed afterwards at the Bunsen in the Arts Centre.
